Gringa on the Go!

Sit back and relax-- I have a lot to catch you up on! On October 24th I went to a 9-year-old's birthday party. And it was beyond amazing. Happy birthday Emmie! I could only hope that my parties could be this luxurious! I also started working with one of my students who is struggling with success in my class because of her language barrier. I work with her Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.  One morning a few weeks ago she came to my desk with a note and a little box; the letter was written to let me know how much she appreciated me working with her and being patient. The box had a little bracelet inside. It warmed my heart to have received these gifts--it relieves the stress of the countless hours spent planning, preparing, and grading in the classroom and helps you remember why it is we work so hard in the first place.  Halloweekend included: Sam working hours with a few students to create our Halloween door display, a party in our classroom hosted...
