Sit back and relax-- I have a lot to catch you up on! On October 24th I went to a 9-year-old's birthday party. And it was beyond amazing. Happy birthday Emmie! I could only hope that my parties could be this luxurious! I also started working with one of my students who is struggling with success in my class because of her language barrier. I work with her Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. One morning a few weeks ago she came to my desk with a note and a little box; the letter was written to let me know how much she appreciated me working with her and being patient. The box had a little bracelet inside. It warmed my heart to have received these gifts--it relieves the stress of the countless hours spent planning, preparing, and grading in the classroom and helps you remember why it is we work so hard in the first place.
