    Before time slips away from these vivid memories, I wanted to write about going to La Luna in Otavalo, Santa Lucia, and to the Black Sheep Inn.      All of these places have shown me some of the absolute breathtaking areas in Ecuador, just a few hours outside of Quito. These casual trips have allowed for lots of relaxing, reading (shocking for me lol), and taking so many pictures of mountains, although I can't seem to capture the way I see them in person!  Sept. 22 - Sept. 24      In Otavalo, we stayed at a Hostel called La Luna. There, I went to a leather market, and a huge Ecuadorian market. Although I didn't go hiking on that trip, my oh my did we walk a lot! There was a big group of us that travelled together, but we all split off to do our own thing! August-October in Venezuela

I wrote this in October but never posted it. Better late than never I guess! It has taken me awhile to Blog. I’m sorry family!!!! Since I have a lot of making up to do, I will be short and sweet about updates from this year.  1.      I have 15 students this year. I love each of them so much. Their hearts are larger than life, and I can see it with the way they interact with each other, and also with me. 2.      I started out the year with a new assistant, but about 1 month into the school year, she needed to be moved to another grade. I was alone, but trying to be patient, and they finally found a new assistant for me! Since being alone, I really thought about the role of having an assistant in my room. I created my classroom environment for 2 people, so being those 2 people at the same time is impossible. Something I do question often, though, is whether or not I fully utilize having an assistant. Special Assembly and Harrow School Tour

It was a VERY special day at Roxeth; Our morning began with a visit from paralympian, Naomi Riches; She gave an amazing speech to our primary students about the way in which she got to be where she is today!! Naomi's vision is severely impaired, but she had the opportunity to be a part of the British rowing team back in 2001 (I think)! She let us take a picture with her, showing her most recent gold metal that she won in London 2012! It was much heavier than I expected! Then our head teacher wanted us to see Harrow School, so she set up a tour for us. It was such a rainy day, but the heart of Harrow showed through regardless. This is their theater; the children must try every kind of subject and sport their first year.
