Amsterdam Fun
Rise and Shine! Up at 2:30 to catch a 5:45 plane to Amsterdam! I would have loved to just float on these puffy clouds to watch the sunrise :) It looks so peaceful!
Well this is interesting. My first sight when we arrived: an advertisement for socks.
Took me a while to figure that one out!
Comfort Cafe fed us as we were RAVENOUSLY hungry!!
And here we are happy and full :)
My first experience in a hostel! At Stayokay in Zeeburg. It was as clean as it could be! The staff was so kind when I asked them a million questions a day. And my bed was more comfortable than the one I've been sleeping on in London.
Sightseeing around town! Gorgeous flowers and cobble stone every where along many canals!
We got up early on Saturday morning to get in line to see the Anne Frank house!
This was the original bookcase that blocked the door to the attic in which she hid.
The attic was closed off, but you can see what it looks like. Cannot get over that this poor 13 year old little girl was actually in hiding in this house that I was walking in.
After Anne Frank we ate at this INCREDIBLE pancake (like American Crepes) shop
Apple, banana, nutella. Nuff said
And it was off to see Van Gogh!! It was also strange to know that I was
in the artistic presence of such a famous celebrity. I can't wait to visit his most famous pieces in Paris.
Right after going to Van Gogh, we stopped for a photo opp!
Ugly car, GREAT COLOR. I'll take a Mercedes please :)
Then the pub crawl began! I think we were all a little terrified. Red light district, 6 bars, 8 pm- 2 am. What a blast!
We totally like like we are going out, right?
First bar on the pub crawl! It was the start to a GREAT night. An Irish man who called me Delilah (couldn't tell you why) tried to teach me how to Irish step dance! Personally I think I rocked it. Only in Amsterdam.
This girl is the bomb. .
I AMSTERDAM!
Went on such an adventure to find these letters! I'm in the D obviously...
After an extremely eventful weekend, the crew heads back home, at 4:00 am. Exhausted.
By the time Sunday night came around, we were all ready to go back to a little normalcy where we could read labels in the grocery store and actually understand how to maneuver our way around a city.
