It was a VERY special day at Roxeth; Our morning began with a visit from paralympian, Naomi Riches; She gave an amazing speech to our primary students about the way in which she got to be where she is today!! Naomi's vision is severely impaired, but she had the opportunity to be a part of the British rowing team back in 2001 (I think)! She let us take a picture with her, showing her most recent gold metal that she won in London 2012! It was much heavier than I expected! Then our head teacher wanted us to see Harrow School, so she set up a tour for us. It was such a rainy day, but the heart of Harrow showed through regardless. This is their theater; the children must try every kind of subject and sport their first year. Macbeth at the Globe We tried out a club in Soho called Roxy.. It sucked, I felt like a freshman all over again.  BUT At least we have cute pics!! Gringa on the Go!

Sit back and relax-- I have a lot to catch you up on! On October 24th I went to a 9-year-old's birthday party. And it was beyond amazing. Happy birthday Emmie! I could only hope that my parties could be this luxurious! I also started working with one of my students who is struggling with success in my class because of her language barrier. I work with her Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.  One morning a few weeks ago she came to my desk with a note and a little box; the letter was written to let me know how much she appreciated me working with her and being patient. The box had a little bracelet inside. It warmed my heart to have received these gifts--it relieves the stress of the countless hours spent planning, preparing, and grading in the classroom and helps you remember why it is we work so hard in the first place.  Halloweekend included: Sam working hours with a few students to create our Halloween door display, a party in our classroom hosted...
