Lima Take 2

36 Hours in Lima is all we needed to explore bars and restaurants, be tourists, and get Starbucks.

Laura and I both went to Lima separately (I went 2 years ago), and a few months ago we talked about going back because there were things that we wanted to do but didn't have a chance the first time around.

Highlights:

Bars- Hotel B, Dada, Lima Bar
Restaurants- Cafe de Lima, Panchitas, Sofa Cafe, Isolina
Tourism- Circuito Magico del Agua, Mario Testino MATE Museum, Barranco + Miraflores Districts

Sweetest Tour Guide: Remo Gambetta

Night 1 was much crazier than we expected. 3 bars, only 2 hours of sleep. I spent the week recovering from this. But it was so worth it to be able to see the nightlife in Lima!

Hotel B- Gin & Tonics with more types of Gin than I knew was even possible.

On the way to bar number 2.. Creepy.

Dada- A super hipster, artsy bar, converted from an old mansion, with a man who was painting this below!

Lima Bar- Dance until you drop. And then get invited to VIP for being a good dancer. Check.

2 hours later...

Chocotejas are a little chocolate Peruvian desert.

El Parque del Amor

Lunch at Cafe de Lima and just a little light reading!

Colors of Lima...

The only photo I have of Panchitas, so disappointed in myself for not getting the restaurant. UGH! Oh well...
This is an enormous chicken dish that came with fried bananas, creamy corn, bacon, and french fries. Incredible.

Off to a VERY touristy spot: The Magic Water Circuit!

A terrible photo, but the only one we have!

Just learned that there are ruins in Lima... This area was at one point used for celebrating special ceremonies.

Sunday Morning:

Sofa Cafe

Mario Testino is a photographer for Vogue, he shoots celebrities all over the world and dedicated his museum to the local Peruvian shoots he has done as well.
We usually don't stand next to each other for a reason. OR if we do, I am in squat position. LOL.

My girl Bey!!!!

Princes Di

Sunday lunch at Isolin with one pisco sour-- Lima's typical drink

 Sunsets

Ciao for now!
