Twins Who Travel

---The weekend I have been waiting for since September 18 when she booked her flight... Rachel came to Ecuador! Although many plans I tried to make fell through, I still kept her nonstop moving from the moment she arrived until the moment she left. The only thing missing was Chelsea--but don't worry--you still have 7 more months to come visit me! :)

Itinerary:

Day 1: TeleferiQo, Quinn Snuggles, Parque Metropolitano, and Cafe Mosaico

We hold hands. :)

Quinn is my neighbor Sarah's dog who I take care of when she's away! I couldn't love him any more than I do. He melts like butter in your arms.

Quinny loving life the way he does at the park!

The MOST adorable little boy was playing with us in the Uber on the way to Cafe Mosaico. So I was just playing along!

A famous street in the downtown area called La Ronda, we had a drink... of water... before bedtime!

Day 2: Tour of Antisana (looking at life in the tundra): Probably the most interesting thing I learned was that about 6 months ago there were two hunters that went to this area and killed two deer. They are now sentenced to 8 years in prison. Hunting in this area is HIGHLY illegal. What an incredible way to preserve nature!

Volcanic rock from Antisana that last erupted in 1802.
Alpaca Friends
Too close for comfort!

Day 3: Snuggles with Quinn, Mitad del Mundo (the original), Pululahua, and Ati (Korean)

Now THIS is a legitimate sun dial.

If I'm not in the North or in the South, then WHERE AM I?!

The cutest turtle statue.

Down, down, down we go!

The English translation is pure gold.

Bull babez!

It took 43 minutes to hike up the crater. Rachel probably could have done it in 30 minutes and STILL not have broken a sweat! The ease in which she did this was SUPER irritating.

THIS DOG THOUGH!
Lunch at El Crater Restaurant which was as beautiful as it was delicious... and expensive!

It was ALSO well earned!

Matching sweater time!

And now, it is time for the Christmas season to begin!
