Weekend with Mom!
This post is a long one... Relax and enjoy :). Mum and I take on Harrow, Pinner, Chelsea Stadium, the Cotswolds, Central London, Surrey, and pubs along the way!
Our first night, having been apart for over a month and a half!
Couldn't have said it better myself!
Friday: we got an early start, off to our second hotel, The Crown Plaza next to St. James Park
I toured Mum around Harrow (where my school is) and we had tea on the way there :)
Then we rushed to Pinner (I had secret plans for the afternoon), a small village that is two stops away from my school, and had a quick drink at the Queen's Head Pub...
From what Mom knew, I was taking her to Fulham Palace, and we just happened to pass Chelsea Stadium on the way...
Little did she know....... She would have a private tour of the stadium!! SHOUT OUT to Jack for being so wonderful!
The next day we took a tour of the Cotswolds-- Burford, Bibury, Bolton-on-the-Water, and Stratford Upon Avon
FIRST STOP: Burford!
The first sight of the day, made me positive that I will live in a cottage when I'm on my own...
That's some crazy hair....
Second stop: Bibury
Quick stop for lunch-- Where we met a woman named Miki. A very important person in the rest of our journey...
True life: My mum is a model.
Third Stop: Borton on the Water
Fourth Stop: Stratford Upon Avon- Shakespeare's birthplace
Getting ready for the big game-- all geared up!
We met up with Miki, a member of the Chelsea Club and Spa, for lunch!
AND WE WIN THE GAME!!
After the game we went back to the spa, and had a few surprise guests: Gary Cahill and Chelsea's Asst. Coach.
Just for the record... In case you are judging, you would have done this too if you were me. :)
Twinning hard core. ;)
Great French restaurant called Aubaine! We had ourselves a cute little date after the game :)
We went to Harrods on Sunday... I was depressed the rest of the day. I do not suggest going in there unless you are prepared to buy something other than a pastry to eat your feelings about how you will never afford anything in this store.
Monday: trip to Godalming in Surrey-- Another village in which The Holiday was shot!
We went to a cafe and tried to wait until the rain stopped, but it never did.
Anyway, we found the beauty of Godalming even through the nasty weather.
Our dream place.
And of course, we end our last day together at a pub in Borough Market!
I am so appreciative to have such a beautiful, fun-loving, Mum in the world. Thank you (& OBVIOUSLY Dad too) for all of the opportunities you have allowed me to have thus far in life. I love you SO much.
